You may want to research this ‘fact’ a little more.
Although this advice is often published on the net, it is an urban myth. A US businessman did create (and patent) such a system did suggest ATM manufacturers, banks and police forces should put this approach into practice, it did not occur.

I keep getting a msg saying that it can not connect to the host. I got MX 10, 20 and 30. I tried all 3 and on all three I got the same msg saying it could not connect to the host on the port whatever. Am I doing something wrong? I have done this about 50 times…
