The preference: browser.cache.memory.capacity controls RAM usage.

besides about:config which actually helps tweak firefox, for fun try about:mozilla , about:robots ,about:rights,about:credits, about:license, about:buildconfig , about: ,

ps: all these about:xxx are meant to be typed into the address bar and then hit enter
