Introduction of new writer: Zell

Neo Tux
Hello Hungry Hackers. My name is Zell Faze, and I have been recently taken on as a writer for Hungry Hackers. Before I write any articles about hacking, I want to take a few minutes of your day to tell you a bit about myself. I think you always ought to know a bit about your mentor.
As stated previously my name is Zell Faze. I am a male living in the United States. My time zone is EST ( GMT -5 ). I am fairly active in the Hungry Hackers forums, and I highly encourage their use. It really is a great tool for communicating with myself, Amol, and Ashik.
I am currently a student, but that does not mean that I know more, or I know less than an expert. I consider myself an expert in my field. There is though, always more to learn.
On Hungry Hackers I will no longer be a student, but instead take on the role of mentor. I say mentor for a reason, it is my opinion that I shouldn’t teach you hacking, but rather guide you in the right direction and let you learn on your own what works and doesn’t.
With that in mind many of the articles I will be writing are purely conceptual in nature. For those that like practical things, Ashik has asked me to make sure I include something practical in every article. I will try my best to abide by Ashik’s instructions.
One thing you should know about commenting on my articles, and talking to me on the forums, is that I may often seem like a jerk. This is because I do have some rules that I will require you to follow if you talk to me.
- Do NoT SpEaK lIkE tHiS
- Do not use 1337
- Use proper grammar and spelling when possible. ( I understand a misspelled word or two but don’t make it horrid )
- Don’t use plz and thx. Write the whole word out.
- Be kind and respectful.
- Be curious and ask lots of good questions.
- Don’t be a waste of time.
Please note that these rules are not official on the forums. Official forum rules may be found here.
These rules are not really for my sake as much as your own. I try to create a professional environment where we can speak and exchange information freely. Not following these rules makes you hard to understand, which makes it hard on me to answer your question. It also makes it harder for others to find your question and my answer.
There is a brief reminder of my rules within my Forum Sig.
In hacking there are several philosphies by which I live. Many will be outlined in my next article, but there is one that I feel I must share now.
“You don’t learn to hack, you hack to learn.”
This philosophy will often be the basis on which I decide whether or not to answer a question.

My knowledge did. And if you do not appreciate it, then you do not have to read my articles. Simple as that.
There are other writers on here that can and will teach you as well. I just happen to believe that my rules provide the easiest way for us all to get along and understand each other.
But you are entitled to your own opinion, and the fact that you voiced your opinion is good. I respect you for that.
Thank you. I hope that I can teach the community a lot. Among other things I wish to teach
Fluent use of the Linux shell.
Packet Sniffing
SQL Injection
Rouge Access Points
Spoofing of all sorts (Email, MAC, IP, etc.)
I really do hope that the community will appreciate what I have to offer.
Now this is Pretty cool “You don’t learn to hack, you hack to learn.”
Its a perfect philosophy for any one to learn hacking.
And yeah, Welcome to Hungry Hackers
